Dr. Marianna Sigala is an Associate Professor of "Service Management and Marketing in Tourism" at the Department of Business Administration of the University of the Aegean, where she lectures courses on Service Operations and Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) management. She holds a BA from the Athens University of Economics and Business in Greece, a Postgraduate Diploma from the University of Lancaster, an MSc and PhD from the University of Surrey. Before joining the University of the Aegean, she had been lecturing at the Universities of Strathclyde, Westminster and Surrey in the UK. She has professional experience from the hospitality industry in Greece, while she has also contributed to several international research and consultancy projects in hospitality and tourism as well as in socio-economic development, e.g. Tempus-Phare, EAR-European Commission funded projects.
